 Many wonder if the high price tag of the GHD is worth it. While neither of GHD's two current models made it into our Top 10 List, they did score A+'s with people who purchased them. So, in this case I would say you get what you pay for.
You should keep in mind that flat irons have improved dramatically over the last few years. Cheap GHD hair straighteners? Never, but you will find good quality, professional level devices in the GHD line. Also keep in mind that GHD's competition uses Tourmaline/Ceramic technology which yields true silky straight hair with out causing damage. Tourmaline, a precious stone, generates up to 6 times more negative ions upon heating than traditional ceramic irons. The extra negative ions along with gentle far-infrared heat produce soft, smooth, frizz-free silky straight hair without heat damage. GHD's models do not use tourmaline plates. Look to the Sedu (below) for that. Other than that, they are great flat irons.
